The New Britain Civic Association is an all-volunteer group of New Britain residents. Formed in 1953, we are a non-profit, non-political organization. Since 1957, the civic association has owned and operated 14.7-acre Covered Bridge Park on Keeley Avenue.
Tucked away along Pine Run Creek in New Britain Borough, the park features a playground, a picnic pavilion, a soccer/baseball field, a gazebo and a pond. The park is a focal point for outdoor recreation for area residents. Covered Bridge Park is really a regional Park bounded by New Britain Township, Doylestown Township and New Britain Borough.
Though the park has been our major focus in recent years, we also sponsor other community activities such as hosting astronomy nights, the town Christmas Tree Lighting, and the youth summer recreation program.
Our members meet every third Monday of the month at 7:30 PM in the New Britain Borough Building located at 45 Keeley Avenue.
